Families List
The following are families who are approved for adoptive placement of any child available for adoption. Current home studies are on file at our agency. If your agency has Permanent Custody of a child who is a potential match for one of our families, please contact an SCDJFS Adoption Worker for a copy of the homestudy. If you are a family interested in adopting or learning more about adoption, please contact an SCDJFS Adoption Worker and read our Information about Foster Care and Adoption Programs.
Nicole and Scott have experience parenting as they have had many foster placements, parenting children from infancy to teens. They have been able to work with the agency towards reunification. Nicole and Scott have worked with infants through teens. The couple would like to adopt to add to their family permanently.
Rick and Beth are foster and adoptive parents. They have 11 children, biological and adopted. They have been involved in the foster program for over 20 years and have fostered over 250 children during that time. The family looks forward to fostering and adopting more children in the years to come.
Mike and Alissa are foster and adoptive parents. They have two school-age sons and are looking forward to expanding their family through adoption. Alissa has experience working with children with special needs. In addition, the family have fostered 5 special needs children in the past.
Jeff and Pam have been foster and adoptive parents for many years. They have adopted two boys and a girl and fostered several children. The couple is very patient, loving, and caring. Family is very important to them and they are dedicated and committed to their children. Jeff and Pam have a close knit family and who would welcome additional children in their home.
Fred and Stephanie are foster and adoptive parents. They have fostering experience and have recently added to their family through adoption. Fred and Stephanie are committed and devoted to the children in their care. They have many strengths to offer to the foster care and adoption program as well as any child in their home. Fred and Stephanie enjoy biking, playing volleyball, camping, walking their dog, and being involved with their church.

Ken and Kina are foster and adoptive parents. They are not strangers to parenting as they have parented 6 children of their own. They have fostered a young child and helped that child transition to the home of a relative. They were awarded with the 2010 Rookie of the Year award for their excellent service to the Foster Care Program.
Bob and Jacole are foster and adoptive parents. They have parenting experience with their own children and have provided a safe, comfortable, and caring home for several foster children from infants to 16 years-old. Bob and Jacole are fun loving, patient, and truly care about the children in their home. The were awarded the 2010 Making a Splash award for their willingness to jump into any situation to help children and families.
Tim and Monica are foster and adoptive parents. The couple has a large family with many nieces and nephews whom can often be found hanging out at Tim and Monica's home. The family is laid-back, enjoy playing and coaching sports, and spending time with family and friends. They have cared for three children in their home. Tim and Monica have been willing to take a hands-on approach to parenting and working with biological family members. They were awarded the 2010 Birth Parent Patience Award.
Keith and Brenda are foster and adoptive parents. They are very involved in their community and enjoy working with youth through sports and extra curricular activates. Keith and Brenda are excited to add to their family through adoption and providing a permanent home to a sibling group. Congratulations to Keith, Brenda, and family.
Bob and Dawn are foster and adoptive parents. They live in Fremont with their adult son, Ryan, and two dogs. They have five other adult children who do not live in the home. Dawn and Bob are very kind and patient people. They enjoy spending time with family, and they are also active in their church. Dawn and Bob were brought to us through a very unique experience, but they are happy to be with us and they are looking forward to seeing what the future brings. They have not had any official placements.
Chantel and Shawn are foster and adoptive parents. They are new to the program although jumped right into their first foster placement. They are happy to have provided a stable home to a child and working towards reunification. Chantel and Shawn would like to adopt a child in the future, giving a forever home to a child.
Chris and Mindy are foster and adoptive parents. They have three children, biological and adopted. They have been involved in the foster/adopt program for over 5 years. Chris and Mindy have experience fostering 4 children ranging in age from 7 months - 15 years.
